1.Privacy Notice
1.1.About this Privacy Notice
This Data Protection Notice (the “Notice”) has been prepared by Optimo Sàrl (“Optimo”) located at route des Acacias 43, 1227 Geneva, Switzerland. This notice describes the processing of Personal Data (as defined below) within Optimo and the rights of data subjects.
The protection of Personal Data is important to Optimo. Optimo recognizes and respects the privacy of its data subjects, such as its customers (“Data Subject(s)”). By using the website, Data Subjects are confirming that they have read, understand and agree with the Notice.
Optimo reserves the right to modify and update the Notice occasionally. In the event of any such change or update, a revised Notice will be posted on Optimo website. Changes will only apply to future activities and information, not on a retroactive basis. Data Subjects are encouraged to review the Notice whenever they visit the site to make sure that they understand how Personal Data are processed.
1.2.What are “Personal Data?”
By “Personal Data,” we mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person such as: static information, e.g. name and contact details; general information that Optimo collects as part of the customer purchasing and licensing process; and any other personal information (i) provided to Optimo by Optimo’s customers or on behalf of Optimo’s customers or (ii) generated by Optimo as part of the provision of services to its customers.
1.3.Why does Optimo process Personal Data?
Optimo processes Personal Data for the following purposes:
management of the business relationship with Optimo’s customers (including billing and licensing collection); security and programming purposes; and Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to Optimo.
When the consent of the data subject is obtained, Optimo may process Personal Data for further purposes, e.g. for the sending of its newsletter or for any other communication related to Optimo such as announcements of new products, and special offers. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without justification by sending an email to info@optimo.ch. All emails and newsletters from Optimo feature unsubscribe links in the footer. However, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Furthermore, Optimo will not feature third party advertisements of any kind on the website, and will not send marketing communications on behalf of third parties.
1.4.A. Personal Data Processing
Step 1 – Collection of Personal Data
Optimo collects Personal Data provided by its Data Subjects, specifically to purchase a font license, obtain a quote, request a trial font, or join Optimo mailing list (e.g. first and last names, postal addresses, email addresses).
If you choose to purchase Optimo products or services from Optimo on its website, credit card information is sent directly to the card processor, and is not stored or retained by Optimo.
Step 2 – Security and transfer of Personal Data
Personal Data are kept secure at all times. Optimo takes technical and organizational measures against any unauthorized access or processing of Personal Data, as well as against the accidental loss or destruction of Personal Data, in accordance with Optimo internal security procedures. Only authorized employees and contractors, who have agreed to submit to confidentiality obligations, have access to Personal Data.
Optimo may have to transfer Personal Data to third parties, including third parties based outside of Switzerland (e.g. sub-contractors). In the case of a Personal Data transfer, Optimo respects the applicable data protection rules and takes appropriate safeguards to ensure the protection of the Personal Data. Step 3 – Retention of Personal Data
Optimo retains the Personal Data as long as such retention is reasonably necessary (i) to achieve the purposes mentioned above or (ii) until the Data Subject withdraws its consent, provided that Optimo is not authorized to keep such Personal Data for any other reason (e.g. to exercise and/or defend rights or in the course of investigations). The destruction of Personal Data takes place in accordance with Optimo internal procedures.
1.5.B. What are the rights of the Data Subject in relation to his/her Personal Data?
Subject to the applicable data protection rules, the Data Subject has the right to: access and obtain a copy of his/her Personal Data; request the correction of his/her Personal Data when it is inaccurate or incomplete; request the deletion of his/her Personal Data (e.g. when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed, or when the Data Subject withdraws his/her necessary consent to treatment (subject to the Step 3 above); object on legitimate grounds to the processing of his/her Personal Data; request the limitation of the processing of his/her Personal Data; and lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Name of cookie: session_id cookie
Collected data: No data is stored in the cookie, other than the id that identifies the session to the server. On the server, for the session identified with the cookie, we store data related to cart items selected by the user, a key that identifies the payment transaction which is needed to finalize the payment, the last typeface viewied in order to display appropriate typeface selection when the cart is opened, choices made by the user during checkout needed to restore the state of different checkout steps if the user navigates back to them, the state of acknowledgement of the cookie policy.
Purpose of the cookie: session_id cookie is a piece of data that is used to identify your session in order to enable per session settings and e-commerce functionality. Disabling it may limit the functioning of our website.

B. Authentification cookies
Name of cookie: customer_credentials cookie
Collected data: No data is stored in the cookie, other than the id that identifies the user account that the registered user has logged into.
Purpose of the cookie: customer_credentials cookie is a piece of data that is used to autheticate your login as you browse the site after logging in, and after you close the browser, if you choose to do so when logging into your account.
